Dr. James Holtman is a native Louisvillian. He graduated from the University of Louisville Medical School in 1974 and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1978. He joined AOG in 1978 and since that time AOG has grown from three physicians to ten..
Dr. Holtman has held many leadership positions including Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Norton Hospital and President of the Norton Hospital Medical Staff. He has been consistently named by Louisville Magazine as one of Louisville’s “Top Docs”. Since 1999 Dr. Holtman has limited his practice to Gynecology. This has allowed him time to devote to his interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopic hysterectomy and bladder incontinence surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons.
He is married to Dr. Judy Holtman, a dermatologist, and has a daughter, Laura.
