AOG is pleased to announce Dr. Gigi Girard will be joining our practice January 2, 2006

Dr. Gigi Girard was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Louisville in 1994 with a bachelors of arts in chemistry and a minor in French.  She then attended the University of Western Australia studying courses in a Masters of Public Health program.   Dr. Girard has dual citizenship, being both an American and an Australian citizen.  My mother and my sister live in Perth, Western Australia, which is her mother's hometown. 

Dr. GirardI also spent time working in Aboriginal medical clinics in Western Australia before applying to medical school.  I graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in 2000.

"My residency training in obstetrics and gynecology took place at Exempla St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado.  I am excited to be home practicing obstetrics and gynecology now in Louisville. 

I live in Cherokee Triangle and enjoy spending time running in the parks. My other hobbies include skiing and bikram yoga. In March 2006, I will be getting married to my fiance Sherman Buschemeyer at a vinyard in Margaret River, Western Australia."
