“I was fascinated with the practice of Obstetrics after delivering my first baby as a medical student, and I followed my heart to pursue a career in this demanding but very rewarding profession.  Taking care of pregnant patients and assisting them with the delivery of their children is always an amazing experience; the miracle of life never gets old.

Obstetrics and Gynecology has also allowed me to pursue a variety of interests outside of obstetrics, primarily the challenge of surgical care and the development of minimally invasive surgical skills.   In all, my profession gives me the opportunity to care for patients through all stages and phases of life and to develop long-standing relationships with them that, I think, are unique to our field and are very gratifying as a medical professional.”

Dr. Hunt Boyd is a Kentucky native and completed his undergraduate degree at Murray State University, graduating with Summa Cum Lauda honors with a B.S. in biology.  He obtained his medical degree at the University of Louisville and received several awards in medical school, being a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.  He completed his residency training also at the University of Louisville in l998 and joined Associates in OB/GYN that same year.  As a fellow in the American College of OB/GYN, he is currently on the active Medical Staff of Suburban Hospital and is Co-Chairman of the Quality Care Committee of Women’s Service there.

Dr. Boyd is married to wife, Donna, and has two daughters, Alexis and Olivia, ages 11 and 6.  He is a long-standing member of Southeast Christian Church and has volunteered in the Martin’s Men Choir for the past five years.
